What Titles?

When watching a film, we are captured by what we physically see and usually acclaim the actors/actresses involved for the said piece. However, although these people are key to the beauty of the project the film wouldn't be a film if it wasn't for all of the backstage crew which bring everything together but are often forgotten, for example:
  • Producer
  • Executive Producer
  • Production Manager
  • Lighting Director
  • Props Builder
  • Special Effects Assistant
  • Make Up Artist
and many, many more roles which contribute highly to the production and create what we as an audience see, the end product. These roles are usually listed on a credits roll which also includes the names of actors/actresses...

This example of crediting in the opening titles of 1978 film 'Grease' shows how the crediting of 'behind-the-scenes' crew can be displayed within a creative format which isn't disruptive to the fluency of the film itself. 'Grease' displays the Music Supervision role here as a poster on a wall in an animation about the main characters getting dressed and going to school.
